It starts with a pencil…

I watched a documentary the other day called, Drawing a Life. It is about the art, life and career of Geoff McFetridge. If you are wondering who that is, don’t worry, I hadn’t heard of him either. The documentary is interesting, largely because of its unique quality of highlighting a prolific artist who also seems to be well grounded.

There is a section of the documentary that I remember having the title “It Starts with a Pencil”. That’s the section heading as I remember it. The section describes the working out of an idea starting with simple tools and a little time

I believe that is true.

It starts with this

a pencil, a piece of paper, and a little time…

You have power if a pencil and a piece of paper are your weapons of choice.

“Words” and “sword” both contain the same letters. All you have to do is move the “s”.

Put a pencil in your hand. Write. Draw. Graph. Sketch. Dream. Do. Go.
